Mom stabbed to death and daughter in serious condition

A 43 years old woman was stabbed to death and her daughter is her twenties were seriously wounded in Jalan Seniman, Kampung Sri Serdang here yesterday.

The mid thirties murder suspect, a local, committed the crime at the house of the victims at about 2.30pm.

The suspect was arrested when he was found to be behaving suspiciously by a police patrol car who was patrolling around the area.

OCPD, Johor Bahru (north), Ruslan Hassan said that the elder women victim died at the scene of crime due to fatal wounds at her stomach believed to be caused by a sharp object.

The dead woman’s daughter sustained stab wound at her back and she was rushed to the Sultanah Aminah General Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The police is still uncertain about the suspect’s motive as its still in the preliminary stage of investigation and the possibility of a robbery-cum-murder case has not been ruled out.

Adding further, Ruslan said, the dead victim is an Indonesian with PR status and works as a part time masseur.

He said that the case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
