Age seems to be just a number for 31-year old Janice Teoh Tze Shin, a talent assessment consultant and affiliate specialist from Klang.
She emerged champion edging past 10 other contestants in the 3rd Ageless International Beauty Pageant 2018 grand finals held at Grand Ballroom, Wisma Huazong in Seri Kembangan, Selangor on 27th October 2018.
“I’m so excited. This is my first time participating in a pageant and I never thought I would win the championship,” she said, adding that she’s looking forward to see where her passion and interest will take her to living a successful and purposeful life.
Janice also bagged the Most Photogenic Ageless Beauty subsidiary title.
“I would like to use this honour to encourage women to increase their self awareness and self value, as in the future, women are no longer only housewives but will also be part of the country’s economy leaders,” she added.
Janice who stands 158cm tall (5’ 2”) and is married, said she joined the pageant to increase her self confidence and to challenge her own limitations.
When asked for the secrets to her ageless appearance which looks much younger than her actual age, Janice replied, “I just use normal skincare products. I guess it’s because I always keep the heart and mindset young. Think young and think positively.”
Janice loves travelling, listening to music and watching dramas.
First runner-up went to 34-year-old Esly Ng Shiu Kim, a Dr.i polaris beauty creator from Klang and second runner-up was 36-year-old Nikki Ng, founder of Norish Skincare from Sungai Buloh.
In a separate sponsored title award, Kate Ch’ng, 29, a Korea beauty product distributor from Johor Bahru was hailed Goddess of Wisdom champion while runner-up Vivi Puah Wei Loo, 25, managing director of a global trading company from Cheras was named Goddess of Wisdom Excellent.
Contestants took part in four categories: kebaya, talent, Q & A, and evening gown. There was no swimsuit segment. A total of 10 subsidiary titles were awarded. Six ambassadors were also crowned to promote the pageant.
The pageant also held an initiations ceremony for New Hope Supporters Club. Smart Beauty (Sophia) and New Hope Supporters Club are two key sponsors for the pageant.
In pursuit of ageless beauty, Ann Q founded the homegrown Ageless International Beauty Pageant in 2016 with the aim to inspire, motivate and cultivate strength for the modern women through balancing family, career and societal obligations in addition to their other responsibilities.
