The moment your body exhausts due to the hustle and bustle of traveling in the city under the hot sun, you will wish to have a cup of water handed over to you.
This is exactly what members from NGO Sikh With A Mission were thinking of when they envisioned a program to distribute a cup water for free at the KL Sentral Monorail station every Sunday.
The 230ml cup water, though small in size, will serve as a wonderful dose to quench thirst on a hot day.
Volunteer Tarenjit Kaur said 10 boxes of cup water and 100 chappatis are prepared for both days every weekend.
“We have been doing this for the past nine months. This is part of the initiative under our organization’s ‘one world one humanity’ vision,” he said.
The program is conducted from 4pm to 6pm every Sunday.
