Two men were killed when the trailer lorry laden with rice overturned at KM30.6 East-West Highway near Gerik early Thursday.
They were identified as trailer lorry driver Khamis@Mustafaf Abu Diman, 35, and his attendant Zulkifli Mamat,36.
Gerik police chief Supt Mahad Nor Abdullah said Khamis and Zulkifli, both from Kampung Pulau Kerengga, Marang, Terengganu died from multiple injuries.
Their bodies were sent to Gerik Hospital for a post-mortem.
Mahad said the accident occured at 5.10am when Khamis who was driving the trailer from Gerik to Kelantan lost control while descending a hilly road.
Khamis and Zulkifli were pinned under the overturned lorry while bags of rice were strewn all over the road.
Firemen rushed to the scene of the accident to retrieve the bodies pinned underneath the lorry.
The bodies were claimed by their families today and taken home for burial.
