KL Vision City Lions Club donates to needy students

The Lions Club of KL Vision City donated a total of 3 computers, reference books, stationeries, school bags and kitchen utilities to SRJK (c) Chung Hwa Setapak and Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak in Taman Restu Kajang.

In promoting education among the needy students, the Lions Club of KL Vision City donated a total 3 computers, reference books, stationery, school bags and kitchen utilities worth up to thousands to SRJK (c) Chung Hwa Setapak and Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak in Taman Restu Kajang.

Lion Mark Chua, the President of Lions Club of KL Vision City expressed his gratitude to Organizing Chairperson, also the Lions District 308-B1 Chairman for Education Lion Elaine Tan for raising fund from all the supportive corporate companies, organizations and Lion members in the region, making the project possible. He sincerely hoped that these computers and items donated to the needy students will help to not only encourage them to stay in school but also to improve their academic results.

Also present were Lions Past Council Chairman of MD 308 Lion ST Yeoh, District Chairman for Education R3 Lion Foo See Yow, Principal of SRJK (C) Chung Hwa Mdm Gan, Caretaker of Persatuan Kabajikan Kanak-kanak, as well as 15 supportive members of KL Vision City Lions Club.

Other than Education program, KL Vision City Lions Club have also been actively organizing Blood Donation drives, and successfully raised 223 blood packs for the National Blood Bank in the past 3 months. They will also be organizing a major fund raising project to raise fund for Lions Eye Clinic and Education Foundation in November 2010. A “Peaceposter” Drawing competition was also recently held in SRJK (C) Chung Hwa in promoting the idea of peace among primary students.
