Missing manhole cover a headache in Taman Molek

The residents of Taman Molek are calling on the local authorities to take immediate action in covering missing manholes in the area.

Taman Molek Rukun Tetangga secretary Foon Peng Kheong said that the manhole issue is an example that public funds are being wasted.

“We are tax payers, the government is duty-bound to fix our issues,” he said.

There are gluts of missing manholes in the residency, which are covered with shabby cardboards. Some of them are stuffed with debris, resulting in clogged drains.

Foon said that the issue will be raised with the local municipal council and also the Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru local councilors and Johor Jaya assemblyperson as soon as possible.
