Christians celebrate the holiest day on Easter

Christians throughout Malaysia celebrated Easter Sunday today to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Holy Saturday is a day of reflection and waiting for many Christians, who believe Jesus was crucified on Friday and rose from the dead on Sunday.

As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter Sunday.

Christians worldwide believe through his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in Him, eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Most churches will have a special service and Sungai Way Subang Methodist Church  (SSMC) in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara, Petaling Jaya is one of them.

The service featured a multi sensory live presentation of the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus via an interplay of music with interpretative drama, black light art dance, pageantry and the spoken word.
