The launching of ABU (Anything But Umno) was delayed for half and hour to allow more people to gather which was scheduled to start at 9.00pm. At the peak, the crowd grew to about 250 people listening to the speeches made by several invited speakers.
Several policemen on motorcycles and a patrol car were spotted monitoring the event from a distance.
The event went on smoothly to the end without any disruption.
