Dec 7 deadline for Taman Bayu Tebrau owners

There’s reprive for the Taman Bayu Tebrau apartment purchasers after all if they act fast and submit their proof of debt to the Malaysian Insolvency Department (MID) before December 7, 2011.

This good news was revealed by MID officer, Indrarahayu Abidin yesterday during a dialogue session with 200 purchasers at Taman Bayu Tebrau.

The President of  Persatuan Muhibah Permilik Dan Penyewa Taman Bayu Tebrau, Tan Khai Meng said at least 75% of the total purchaser need to submit the proof of debt to facilitate the submission of this housing project as an abadoned housing project.

In order to facilitate this process with the MID, four proxies, Tan Khai Meng, Raja Sekaran, Pretap Singh and Lau Kok Yin has been elected to represent the purchasers.

However the MID pointed out that they have only received around 200 application of application of proof of debt from purchasers of Phase A Taman bayu Tebrau. The total number of apartment purchased was 460.

Pasir Gudang MP, Datuk Seri Mohd Khaled Nordin said that once the apartment has been clasified as an abandoned housing project, there are more options to solve the problem.

He expects that the application process will take a year to be completed and said that he would write to the Ministry of Housing and Local Governent to help the residents to complete the relevant procedures.
