In an exclusive interview with Citizen Journalists Malaysia (CJMY), American born Chinese finger-style guitarist and singer Shun Ng, 22, shares with us his influence and musical style that makes his music so unique with a fusion of Blues, Soul,Jazz, Rock & Roll and Pop.
His daring new rhythmic style of playing the acoustic guitar incorporating percussion, horn lines, funk bass and ghost notes gives a totaling refreshing style of finger-style guitar playing.
Shun released his debut album, entitled “Funky Thumb Stuff” with percussive vocals and groovy acoustic arrangements. He is also the Director of Music, for The Amber Initiative and has organized concerts such as Legacy 2011 and has produced, written and performed music to raise funds for various charitable foundations around the world.
