RM3.3 million to upgrade two waterfalls in Perak

Two waterfalls in Perak will be upgraded at a cost of RM3.3 million to make them more attractive tourist destinations in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2012.

Two waterfalls in Perak will be upgraded at a cost of RM3.3 million to make them more attractive tourist destinations in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2012, said state tourism committee chairman Hamidah Osman.

She said the allocation, channelled by the Tourism Ministry, was aimed to make Lata Kinjang and Kuala Woh recreational forests as the best recreational parks in the country.

“From the amount, RM1.7 million would be used to upgrade Lata Kinjang while another RM1.6 million for Kuala Woh…with this allocation, both forests will have a new look in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2012m” she told reporters yesterday.

Both waterfalls are located near the town of Tapah and not far from the Tapah interchange of the North-South Expressway.
