Johor Bahru folks speak off the cuff

JOHOR BAHRU – Johor Bahru Can Talk at the 9th Johor Bahru Arts Festival on the 2, 9, 17 and 29 September, 2012 saw the public speak on a variety of issues alfresco at Bukit Timbalan. [VIDEO]

Toastmasters  Johor Bahru had four slots of ‘Johor Bahru Can Talk’ at the 9th Johor Bahru Arts Festival on 2, 9, 17 and 29 September, 2012  at Bukit Timbalan, Johor Bahru.

The public will be able  to witness Toastmasters in action and anyone from the audience is allowed to participate in the impromptu speech segment.

Shinji Tasaka, 62, who is working in Singapore came over to Bukit Timbalan with two friends after an unsuccessful trip to see the museum at the Istana Gardens.

They were pleasantly surprised to witness the ‘Johor Bahru Can Talk’ session in progress.

Toastmasters International, founded in 1942, is a non-profit organization and world leader in communication and leadership development, helping people from all backgrounds become more confident in speaking before an audience.

Participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

It is one of the most cost-effective skill building platforms available.
