10,000 signatures requesting secondary Tamil school in Penang

Penang Hindu Association (PHA) feels that it is time to build a secondary school in Penang to cater to proper Tamil secondary education for the interested students as well as parents to safeguard the Tamil language, Tamil culture and Hindu religion in this country.

In order to implement this plan, the Penang Hindu Association has organised a signature campaign during Thaipusam celebration in Penang.

According to project co-ordinator S Balasubramaniam, the campaign has received widespread support from the public and he is pleased to be able to educate the community about the importance of secondary Tamil school for the Malaysian Indian community.

Through this signature campaign Penang Hindu Association has managed to acquire 10,000 signatures from the public in support of this project.
