Lee-Jean FungThe Bahasa Melayu Toastmasters Club (Kelab Toastmasters Bahasa Melayu), Johor Bahru was chartered with Toastmasters International on 14th March 2011 with 21 members.
They meet on every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 7.30pm.
The venue is 56A, Jalan Perang, Taman Pelangi, 80400 Johor Bahru.
It is the first Bahasa Melayu Toastmasters Club in Johor and the 2nd in West Malaysia.
The President of this club, Esther Teo said that only one of the seven Executive Committee members is a Malay while the rest are Chinese, Indian or Punjabi.
She believes in having an environment of joy and fun for maximal learning and in Toastmasters it is about communication and leadership.
Membership is welcome and the nominal fee is RM180 for a 6 months subscription (or 12 meetings)
