The Selangor government has established a special task force to solve the administration and management problems in
Universiti Selangor that led to the resignation of vice chancellor Dr Rosti Saruwono.

Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said today the task force members include former Sirim Berhad CEO Dr Ariffin Aton and two highly qualified academicians.

He said the resignation of the Unisel vice-chancellor had been expected. “We  anticipated this problem and the task force was established to help solve it,” he told reporters after chairing an executive council meeting.

Rosti resigned as Unisel vice-chancellor, effective yesterday, after giving 24-hour notice.

Abdul Khalid said the resignation letter was delivered the day before and the government did not object.
