Let’s make Perlis bersih, says the Raja of Perlis

A clean Perlis will lead the way.

Kangar, the capital of Perlis, is blessedly free of polluting cars

The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, wants the state government to consider his suggestion to make Perlis the cleanest state in the country.

This, His Royal Highness says, will distinguish Peninsula Malaysia’s smallest state among tourists to the country.

Accompanied by Raja Perempuan Perlis, Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid, Raja Muda Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Raja Puan Muda Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, HRH decreed that: “If we successfully make this state the cleanest state, tourist will come to witness it for themselves.”

He was officiating the renaming of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Padang Behor, recently, which has now been renamed SMK Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen, in honour of the Raja Puan Muda Perlis.

HRH further decreed that he wants every school to emphasise cleanliness and good hygiene, and if possible make it an important classroom topic.
