GEORGE TOWN – The 298 passenger who died in the Malaysia Airlines MH17 plane crash have been remembered at a candlelight vigil held in George Town, Penang last night.

Hundreds paid their respects to the passengers of the flight who were en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam when it was downed over Ukraine.

The victims on the flight, consists of 193 Dutch, 43 Malaysians, including 15 crew members.

Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak through a diplomatic dialogue with the pro-Russia separatists in eastern Ukraine, managed to secured the release of the Malaysia Airlines plane’s black boxes and the remains of the victims.
