Taman Indahputra residents can now sigh with relief

 

RM370,000 allocation has been set aside to rectify the severe soil erosion problem affecting the residents staying in Jalan Teratai 36/18, Taman Indraputra, Kulai here, which Komunitikini reported two days ago.

The Municipal Council of Kulai chief whip, Zulkipli Sulaiman said the rectification works to stop and prevent future soil erosion has started since yesterday morning.

“In fact remedial works to restore the affected drain and road started since April 18 and is expected to complete by next June 27”, he said.

He reiterated in saying that the residents in the affected area should be worry about their safety and can continue to stay in their houses without fear anymore.

Meanwhile, the Villages Co-ordination Committee for Senai constituency chairman, Tay Chin Hein, said that the problem has been submitted to the district disaster action committee since the problem was highlighted several months ago but to the high cost and waiting for special allocation that cause the delay in carrying out the necessary rectification works.

He said, besides Jalan Teratai 36/18, there are other places who are also faced with the similar soil erosion problem but these have been resolved by the relevant authority.
