Taman Universiti Lions club donates RM 20,000

Lions Club Taman University had donated RM 20,000 to Japanese Tsunami Relief Fund and Lions District 308B1 Further Study Education Fund in commemorating their 12th anniversary.

Lions Club Taman University had donated RM 20,000 to Japanese Tsunami Relief Fund and Lions District 308B1 Further Study Education Fund in commemorating their 12th anniversary.

The organising chairperson, Nam Fun Lai said he appreciated the support from the public, which had made the event a great success.

The club officially gave scholarship to six needy Foon Yew high school (Kulai) students during the dinner.

Club president, Ethan Chuu belted out a number, which brought in another RM 1,000 as a donation for the same students.

1st Vice District Governor 308B1, Dr. Ben C. Ng, and Skudai assemblyman, Dr. Boo Cheng Hau were the guest honour for the event.

Taman University’s Lions club is one of the most active club in Johor Bahru, and they had also assisted in  the forming of Pekan Nenas and Pontian Lions club.

Last year the club had formed the Leo Club in Foon Yew High School in Kulai.
