Newly launched Miss Cosmopolitan World aims to promote tourism

A new international beauty pageant that promotes tourism is making its debut in Malaysia with beautiful young ladies from all corners of the world to participate and make it a truly memorable event.

Organised by Amelia Productions, its production director Amelia Liew said the inaugural Miss Cosmopolitan World (MCW) pageant is eyeing international participants from some 30 countries.

Miss Cosmopolitan World will embrace women who are not only beautiful and filled with passion and talent but also possess intelligence, charisma and dare to dream big.

The first official media launch of the MCW 2015 was held in Penang on May 20, 2015.

Present at the launch were Hotel Istana sales and marketing director Susan Goh, marketing communications consultant Kenny Gordvyn, And Jo Productions founder John Oh as well as sponsors, partners, friends, supporters and members of the media.

Liew added, “MCW will make a historic breakthrough in the Malaysian beauty pageantry as contestants from around the world are free to participate. This innovation lays a foundation for regional beauty pageants as a way to promote the culture of beauty pageantry of the world.”

Liew further added that the pageant is an avenue in fostering unity and understanding among Asians and the rest of the world community.

“We will do our part for corporate social responsibility by donating a portion of the proceeds from the grand finals to charity.”

Registration for MCW 2015 is now open until early August for natural-born females (non-Muslim) between the ages of 18 – 27 years with minimum height of 168 cm.

There will be a panel of international judges for MCW 2015 grand finale on October 9 at the grand ballroom of Hotel Istana, the pageant’s official hotel and venue.
