Taiping police chief ACP Mohd Yusof Diah said the body was first sent to the Taiping Hospital for a post-mortem and was later claimed by relatives for burial in Jitra, Kedah.

He believed the victim, who was injured on the head, slipped and fell into the ravine. Police had ruled out foul play.

Abdullah Zubir was said to have gone out jogging alone at 10am last Sunday and a fellow teacher notified the police after he did not return home by 7pm.
