The body of an unidentified man was found floating in Sungai Malim, near Malim Industrial Area in Bachang, yesterday.
The deceased, believed to be in his 30’s, was clad in a pair of dark denim jeans and a blue T-shirt when he was found at about 11.40am by members of the public who were fishing at the river.
The stout victim had no identification papers on him.
Melaka CID deputy chief, Supt R.Gunarajan when contacted said the initial investigation showed no signs of foul play and police had classified the case as sudden death due to drowning while fishing there.
The body was sent to Melaka Hospital.
Anyone who has lost a family member whose description fits the victim, are advised to contact the Malim police station to lodge a report.
