Office burgled for fourth time at Kawasan Perindustrian Tebrau, Johor

Tong Lee Hardware & Timber , a major Johor furniture fixtures distributor, located  in Kawasan Perindustrian Tebrau 3 , Johor Bahru, burglarized for the fourth time since it shifted to its new office warehouse  in 2009.

In the 12.10am incident yesterday, eight burglars intruded into the office warehouse armed with an assortment of knives.

Two security guards on duty were tied up before the burglars went breaking into the office.

One burglar even exchanged the security guard uniform and stood guard at the entrance security post.

The burglars dislodge and damage the alarm and CCTV system before breaking up several doors leading to the office.

At about 12.50am, the managing director of the company arrived to inspect after receiving an alarm triggered message from the office warehouse.

He quickly untied the security guard and saw the burglars escaping through the warehouse fencing at back of the office.

Security guard, Rudi who was assaulted during the burglary sustained injury to his face and hand.

Upon inspecting the office, they found several rooms were ransacked and filing cabinets pried open.

The office staff later accompanied the security guard, Ismail Othman, 55 , to lodge a police report with the Setia Indah police station.

At press time, the company staff are still assessing the damages and were unable to ascertain the losses.
