Graduating students of the Faculty of Creative Arts and Design (FOCAD) of SEGi College Subang Jaya will be showcasing a compilation of their finest work and talent at the The April 2011 Graduation Showcase starting today at The Annexe Gallery, Central Market.
The showcase will display final-year projects by the students of the faculty from courses ranging from Mass Communication to Video & Animation. One such project on display will be the Hands for Cancer fundraiser by the Mass Communication students, who raised RM 12,000 in funds for the National Cancer Council Malaysia (MAKNA) two months ago.
Mass Communication team leader and media coordinator Billy Chen, told Komunitikini that the support from the arts and design industry leaders would be vital for the showcase’s success and also urged the public to dive deeper into the nation’s art scene by supporting events such as this.
The week-long showcase will involve 56 students from 7 different departments within the Creative Arts & Design faculty. The grand opening and the officiating ceremony will be held this Friday at 2.30pm.
