The official launch of Drypers Moms of Malaysia 2016 campaign was held in IOI City Mall, Putrajaya on 5th May, where doting parents gathered to share their love for their young ones as their families enjoyed the celebrations and activities together.
“The inaugural Moms of Malaysia 2015 was such a resounding success that it has given us the conviction to hold this campaign on an annual basis. We are deeply passionate about supporting and championing the extraordinary bonding of mother and child throughout the country,” said Ms. Evelyn Chan, Marketing Director of SCA Hygiene Marketing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
In the lead up to the launch event, mothers nationwide were invited to share snapshots of magical moments with their babies on Facebook or Instagram. The response from parents was overwhelming, with the submission of hundreds of incredible photos showing mothers and babies’ special times of laughter, comfort and affection. Touched by the outpouring of love, Drypers has proudly showcased all photos on a large LED screen for all to see during the event. Mothers can continue to post photos for the duration of the event, using the hashtag #momsofmalaysia and tagging Drypers Malaysia Facebook.
Drypers’ Moms of Malaysia (MOM) advocate and glamorous new mother to a 9-month old girl, Elaine Daly, shared stories of enchanting moments with her sweet cherub at the launch. Elaine reiterates that the essence of the campaign is to capture those little everyday moments and truly embrace them because they are precious and fleeting. It is those delightful instances that form memories that can last a lifetime.
Ms. Chan went on to explain that, this year’s campaign incorporates a charitable element called Share a Little Comfort, involving participation of compassionate mothers of Malaysia.
Drypers has completed renovations of the first home, Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf As-Solihin Kanchong Darat, in Banting with the help of Drypers Baby Club members, Drypers’ Moms of Malaysia advocate, Elaine Daly, sponsors, and employees of SCA Hygiene Malaysia Sdn Bhd. This privately funded orphanage is home to 120 children between the ages of 2 to 18 years. Improvements to the facility included repairs, giving the home a fresh coat of paint and adding a new library. Drypers has brought Akemi, Favorita and Khind on as partners in this year-long CSR initiative.
Compassionate parents are encouraged to contribute to the cause and join the Drypers team in upgrading the remaining three orphanages in 2016. Drypers Baby Club members can lend a helping hand by donating some of their rewards points with every purchase of Drypers pack (which would go towards Drypers’ 1 million-point goal – the equivalent of RM100,000) or by volunteering to participate in the actual renovations and refurbishments. Drypers Points can be donated in amounts of 100, 300 or 500 via Drypers Baby Club members’ online accounts and Drypers will match each contribution.
Families attending the event can pledge their support for the Share A Little Comfort initiative and subsequently Drypers will donate 10 points for every pledge to the cause on their behalf. There is also a special section for pregnant mothers who can collect complimentary Drypers Wee Wee Dry New Born diaper samples in an exclusive Drypers Mommy bag and have their complimentary photos taken.
During the Moms of Malaysia event, parents and their children had fun joining in the various games and activities – playing with bubbles at the unique children’s bubbly area and enjoying sing-along and storytelling sessions. Members of the Drypers Baby Club and their children also had access to an exclusive area where their young have colouring activities, had their face painted and munch on complimentary snacks.
