Launched by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng on March 1, the BEST bus service, which will operate at peak hours during the morning and evening during weekdays, will take three alternative routes, with all starting at Sunway Carnival Mall in Seberang Prai and ending at Bukit Jambul.

Commuters will now only have to pay a RM 1.OO per day parking fee when they park their cars at the 600 designated parking bays at the Sunway Carnival Mall, and are not required to pay for the bus ride.

Around ten buses would be deployed to shuttle the commuters at two separate peak hours, from 6am to 9am in the morning, and from 4pm to 7pm in the evening.

According to Lim, motorists who opt for the shuttle service could save up to RM250 per month, including the Penang toll and petrol costs.
