Eight people including two women were arrested for trafficking ketamine worth RM330,000 in a house in Taman Bukit Permai, Ampang yesterday.
Narcotics CID director Noor Rashid Ibrahim said the eight aged 21 to ?37 years were resting in the terrace house when a police party pounced on them.
“They were involved in packing and trafficking ketamine. We found 15 plastic sachets suspected ketamine weighing 15.062kg, empty plastic sachets, scale and sealer.”
Police also seized cash RM52,000 and four vehicles. We will check whether?the vehicles are stolen or not,” he told reporters in Bukit Aman today.
Noor Rashid said the eight were actively trafficking drugs in the Klang Valley. They were remanded seven days starting today.
The case is investigated under Section 39B Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 that carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
