Partners Against Poverty aims to eradicate hardcore poverty in the state by giving out monetary aid to those earning RM500 and below a month. Penang is the first state in the country to attempt such an initiative. Currently, the 20 sen collected from the sale of plastic bags in the state helps fund the PAP programme. Recipients must first apply with the State Welfare Department to qualify.

Rozz Ritzmann and Andrew Netto, the stand-up comedian will co-host the evening. Other highlights are Zouk’s DJ Ken and Point Blanc. About 1,500 people are expected to attend this charity event.

Founder of Luxador Events, Jimmy Yeoh, has pledged to contribute 50 sen to PAP each time somebody clicks the “Like” button on the Luxador Events page.
