The Integrated South-Bandar Tasik Selatan Transport Terminal (TBS-BTS) went into full operation yesterday as all the 56 bus operators have moved to the terminal from the temporary facility in Bukit Jalil.
Kumpulan Maju Holdings corporate communications manager Badrul Izhan Yeop Abdullah said that based on information from the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), the buses were operating on schedule.
“As at 5pm today, 182 buses had left the terminal heading south and 110 buses from the south had arrived there,” he said.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister’s Department said in a statement that all southbound express bus services, except for Seremban, would operate from the TBS-BTS terminal.
Several operators had expressed reluctance to move to the terminal over dissatisfaction with the charges and mode of ticket sales imposed by the public transportation hub management.
The six-storey terminal, built at a cost of RM570 million, was due to open last month. It has 55 bus platforms for 1,000 buses to arrive and depart daily, a taxi stand with 150 bays and 1,000 car parking bays, including special bays for women drivers.
