New Miss Virtual Malaysia pageant launched

KUALA LUMPUR – Winners will receive cash prizes worth up to RM70,000 and air ticket to travel to ASEAN countries.

Official launch and press conference of Miss Virtual Malaysia pageant at Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur hotel on April 30, 2019. The search to find Miss Virtual Malaysia 2019 is on and will end on July 31 with the coronation of the first beauty queen of Miss Virtual Malaysia.

Regal Global Nine Sdn Bhd officially launched a new local pageant brand, the Miss Virtual Malaysia 2019 at Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur hotel on 30th April 2019.

The new pageant with the tagline ‘It is your Moment to Shine’, aims to foster unity and understanding among ASEAN member countries by connecting talents and potentials.

Regal Global Nine (RG9) chairman Dez said, “This beauty queen contest will create its own history by producing women with personality, integrity, high motivation and inspiring other young women to build confidence and believe that everything is possible and achievable.

“Aspiration of Miss Virtual Malaysia is based on three main criteria, Vogue in styling, Beauty in presenting yourself and having the Knowledge that will serve as a medium in promoting culture, determination and confidence. The women with this credibility and integrity will be the voice of the community in shouting human rights and oppressed issues.

“Through this competition, we hope Miss Virtual Malaysia will be a platform for all women around the world to believe that beauty is not just about a pretty face but also beauty from within.”

Regal Global Nine also announced Nuc Car, a delivery service business, (e-hailing) as the main sponsor for this competition.

Miss Virtual Malaysia organiser Darwish Roslee said the winner of Miss Virtual Malaysia will represent the country to compete for Miss Virtual Asean and other international pageants.    

Miss Virtual Malaysia 2019 (MVM) pageant is unique that will take advantage of using digital platform as main medium of application process where applicants only need to register online with their photo and video profiles.

“Anyone with internet access will be able to register themselves and it will bring more opportunities especially for those staying in outskirts area. If the candidates are shortlisted, including those staying in Sabah and Sarawak, the cost of flights to Kuala Lumpur will be borne by MVM,” said Darwish.

The candidates should meet the following requirements: 

  1. Malaysian single woman and never been married
  2. Age 17 – 27
  3. Minimum height of 168 cm (5’ 6”)
  4. Able to communicate in English

16 finalists will be selected to take part in the Miss Virtual Malaysia final on July 31, 2019.

Winners will receive cash prizes worth up to RM70,000 and air ticket plus accommodation for travel to ASEAN countries.
