Super Model finalists wow crowd at fashion showcase

The 32 finalists of Super Model Universe Malaysia 2019 dazzled guests with their moves in designer clothing at a fashion preview show at Olympian Bar, Puchong on 26 July 2019.

Super Model Universe Malaysia national director Ammetta Malhotra said the fashion showcase was to give guests a preview of what to expect during the finals of the modelling competition, which will be held on Sept 1 at Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel, Mutiara Damansara in Petaling Jaya.

“Our models have learnt different runway techniques for various types of catwalk and they are ready to give their best in the grand final,” she said.

The crowd cheered in support as the contestants began to parade one by one down the runway wearing pieces from The Mod House, Farel Mikhail, Qif Alvarez, Gib Idris, Gil Concepcion and Bon Zainal Collections.

Over the past weeks the contestants have been undergoing intensive trainings with coaches and preparations to transform them into a potential supermodel. These include catwalk training, advice on grooming, training to be influencers and photoshoot for products.

The winner of the Male and Female Supermodel Universe Malaysia 2019 will win cash prize of RM10,000 and an all expense paid trip to Sofia, Bulgaria to take part in the Super Model Universe international finals on 19th Sept 2019, and over RM40,000 worth of prizes from sponsors as well as a chance to walk the runaway with international designers.
