800 drones form a giant plane at air show in China

The spectacular choreography was part of an industry event designed to show off the latest advances in the country’s aviation, space and travel sector.

A majesticly choreographed display of over 800 army of glowing drones taking up the sky to create a propeller plane, an airliner, and a fighter jet has wowed visitors at the 2019 Nanchang Flight Convention.

A video posted by Xinhua on Saturday, November 16, from the convention’s closing ceremony has gone viral mesmerizing netizens from around the world as well.

At one point the drones are seen forming two large airliners mirroring each other, with one turning upside down while the other hovering above it, they then merge to create the outline of a helicopter and a jet.

The spectacular choreography was just one part of the convention, an industry event designed to show off the latest advances in the country’s aviation, space and travel sector.

During the opening ceremony for the event, Yin Meigen, member of the Standing Committee of Jiangxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of Nanchang Municipal Party Committee, said it was the first aviation exhibition convention of this level to be held in the region.

The convention had more than 100 types of aircraft from China and other countries exhibited , ranging from biplanes to more modern fighter jets.
