14 years and running for BHPetrol Orange Run

PETALING JAYA – The winners took home a total of RM50,000 worth of cash prizes along with BHPetrol vouchers.

Flagged off at the Curve, Mutiara Damansara, the 11-km BHPetrol Orange Run attracted a total of about 5,000 runners made up of new and seasoned participants. The Run saw contestants participating under eight categories, namely Men Open & Veteran, Women Open & Veteran, Boys & Girls and Men & Women International Open to encourage runners from all walks of life to take part. The winners took home a total of RM50,000 worth of cash prizes along with BHPetrol vouchers.

The BHPetrol Orange Run which marks its 14th consecutive year this year is an annual run organised by BHPetrol in collaboration with Polis DiRaja Malaysia, Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya and Affin Bank that encourages
Malaysians to lead healthier lifestyles while contributing to those in need.

Encik Azizul Azily Ahmad, Acting Chief Executive Officer of BHPetrol said, “We are delighted to be holding our 14th edition of the Orange Run. Over the years, we have been successful in encouraging people to work up a sweat for a healthier mind and body while providing a platform for them to give back to the less privileged. It is heartening to have thousands of participants gather here and have an enjoyable time all for a good cause. We look forward to the strong turnouts and continued support in the years to come.”

In line with BHPetrol’s commitment to giving back to the community, Y.Bhg. Lt. Jen. Dato’ Pahlawan Hj Khairuddin bin Hj Mat Yusof (B), Chairman of BHPetrol presented a total of RM30,000 to three charitable homes, Teratak Nur Barakah, House of Love and Rumah Shalom, with a contribution of RM10,000 each.
