KUALA LUMPUR – Discounts between 10 percent to 33 percent at 13 highways and 4 toll plazas this Christmas holidays.

The Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) under the Ministry of Works has announced that beginning 1 January 2020, toll collection via radio-frequency identification (RFID) will be implemented on all open-tolls for Class 1 vehicles.

62 toll plazas along 24 highways which includes the North-South Expressway, the KESAS Expressway, the Kajang SILK Highway and Butterworth Ring Road will be covered.

According to the official announcement, the LLM hopes this move will help make traffic flow at the highways smoother.

The RFID system is attached to the Touch ‘n Go e-wallet and it can be topped-up without having stop at anywhere. It also doesn’t require any charging since there are no batteries.
