A 41-year-old Singaporean was arrested for operating a drug processing lab in a rented house in Taman Sentosa three days ago.
The 6.30pm police raid netted about RM60,000 worth of drugs, which included 1.8kg of ketamin, 71 ecstasy pills, five eramin pills and several drug processing utensils.
The police believed that the suspect has been operating the lab and distributing the drugs in the city for the last six months.
Deputy OCPD Johor Bahru (South), Superintendant Abdul Samad Salleh said, two luxury cars worth about RM180,000, believed to be used for the drug trade, were also confiscated. The suspect who tested positive for drugs, will be charged under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug trafficking, which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
