Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care donates four ventilators to Hospital Selayang in support of the public health sector and to enable the hospital to provide the necessary care for Covid-19 patients.

Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDHC) has donated four units of ventilators to Hospital Selayang to help out with the ventilator shortage as hospitals in the country are facing shortages due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care group chief executive officer Greg Brown said in a statement the donation was the company’s collective effort to support the public health sector so that it can carry on even during the most challenging time for the nation and its people.

“We believe this contribution from RSDHC can help alleviate concerns of ventilator shortage at public hospitals and enable these facilities to continue providing the best care possible for Covid-19 patients at their premises.

“Strong collaborative public-private efforts that enable healthcare practitioners to ramp up testing and treatment of the virus at public hospitals will enable the country to arrest the spread of Covid-19,” he said.

As part of its commitment to working with the public health sector, all RSDHC facilities, namely Subang Jaya Medical Centre, Ara Damansara Medical Centre and ParkCity Medical Centre, are now providing Covid-19 nasal and throat swab tests for those individuals with symptoms. Results will be ready within 24 to 48 hours and walk-ins are accepted with no appointment required. The test price is RM630.00, inclusive of medical consultation.
