A young couple and a company janitor at Johor Bahru have been charged with drug trafficking, and will face possible death penalty should they be found guilty.

A young couple and a company janitor at Johor Bahru have been charged with drug trafficking, and will face possible death penalty should they be found guilty.

Suhaimi Murat and his wife Nur Ashura Malek, both 30, have been charged for traffiking 11.925 kg of cannabis on the 26 January 26, 2011 at Taman Delima 2 at around 5.00pm.

The janitor Zaharuddin Ahmad, 35, was charged for trafficking 38 gram of herion in a house adrresed at no. 414 Jalan Kubur, Kampong Bakar Batu, Johor Bahru on the 2nd February, 2011 at around 4.00pm.

Both the cases suspects will be charged under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries the death penalty upon conviction.

The cases were set for mentioned on 8th April, 2011.
