Boustead Properties Berhad donated two Kawasaki Z250 motorbikes worth RM48,000 to Balai Polis Semenyih as part of the company’s efforts to support communities and individuals in need during the current challenging times.

The motorbikes will be used by the Balai Polis Semenyih’s motorcycle patrol unit for crime prevention purposes.

Boustead Properties general manager of project developments Shahril Mohd Khairi said, “We are reaching out to make a difference in the communities we exist through various means this year as we elevate our corporate social responsibility efforts. As a start, we are kicking off the year with the contribution of motorbikes to enable the police to better safeguard the communities here in Semenyih, which is also home to our 1,200-acres township project, Mutiara Hills.

“As Semenyih develops, we believe it is vital to equip the police with sufficient assets so they can perform their duties well. We plan to continue lending a hand to those who are under-served and vulnerable, and make a positive impact on quality of life.”

Shahril handed over the motorbikes to Kajang district police chief ACP Mohd Zaid Hassan in a simple ceremony.

ACP Zaid said, “The motorbikes will be a boost to our patrolling activities to keep the neighbourhoods in fast-growing Semenyih safe. We thank Boustead Properties for the timely contribution which will also assist the police in crime prevention.”

The Balai Polis Semenyih is manned by 52 personnel covering a land area of 176.6 square kilometre.
