Projek57 collaborates with Grab to distribute unity ribbons

Malaysians will receive Projek57 Unity Ribbons with every GrabFood meal from Grab Malaysia’s participating merchant-partners in the Klang Valley.

Social enterprise Projek57 is joining forces with Grab Malaysia to distribute 20,000 unity ribbons to customers with GrabFood orders in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations.

The Projek57 and Grab collaboration will run for four days from September 13 to 16, 2021, leading up to Malaysia Day that is celebrated on September 16.

The unity ribbons will be distributed during the campaign through Grab Malaysia to Malaysians with each order of their favourite GrabFood meals from participating GrabFood merchant-partners in the Klang Valley.

Projek57 co-founder Syed Sadiq Albar said they are excited to collaborate with Grab Malaysia to celebrate the continued resilience and unity of Malaysians during challenging times.

“We hope Malaysians will be reminded of the power of hope, of standing together hand in hand in navigating through this difficult time.”

He said the unity ribbon symbolised Projek57’s Movement of Hope and is designed for Malaysians to wear the Jalur Gemilang over their hearts with pride and stand in solidarity, particularly during these extraordinary times.

“Hari Malaysia is a day that we all celebrate and it serves as a strong reminder that our desire for unity brought us together first and foremost. The past year and a half have been extremely difficult for many, nevertheless, in typical Malaysian spirit, we have shown that we can be a pillar for each other,” said Projek57 co-founder Collin Swee.

Projek57 and Grab Malaysia aim to celebrate the continued resilience and unity of Malaysians this Malaysia Day.

Grab Malaysia country marketing head Hassan Alsagoff said Malaysia has gone through a tough year and only by coming together and supporting each other can the people thrive on overcoming the challenges.

“As the nation celebrates Hari Malaysia, we want to remind everyone of this spirit of unity that makes us unique. We are happy to work alongside Projek57 on this meaningful effort and we hope to continue to support the different communities who are in need,” he said.

The participating GrabFood merchant-partners are Alibaba & Nyonya, A&W, Boran, Eatomo Food Co, GO Noodle House, Gourmet Kitchen, Hayaki, Hawker Hall, HeyCha, K Fry Urban Korean, KGB Burger, KyoChon, La Juiceria Superfoods, La Juiceria Superfoods Signature, Lim Fried Chicken, Madam Kwan’s, Nando’s, Paradise Dynasty, Secret Recipe, Spades Burger, Super Saigon, The Fish Bowl, and Urban Food Club.
