SJMC recognised as the Best Hospital of the Year

Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) received awards in five categories including ‘Best Hospital of the Year’ for the second year in a row at the recent Global Health Asia-Pacific Awards 2021.

The hospital’s achievements in cutting-edge genetic and molecular diagnostics, with a focus on targeted therapies in oncology, also earned SJMC recognition as the Advanced Genetics Service Provider of the Year as well as Oncology Service Provider of the Year for the third consecutive year.

SJMC also received the ICU Service Provider of the Year for its contributions in providing dedicated and isolated ICU facilities for Covid-19 patients.

In addition, the hospital picked up an award for Robotic Rehabilitation Service Provider of the Year.

SJMC chief executive officer Trish Hogan credited their achievements to the highly committed and high performing team of doctors, nurses and staff who have contributed towards the growth and success of SJMC.

“We are providing exemplary healthcare services to those in need. In fact, the hospital motto of “People caring for people” is not just a culture but ingrained in the mindset of every team member. We will continue to embrace medical innovation and technology, while keeping people at the heart of all we do as we move forward,” she said.

The Global Health Asia-Pacific Awards aims to recognize medical and related facilities in the Asia-Pacific region for their excellence in healthcare and patient care. The awards also serve as a benchmark for healthcare providers to maintain high industry standards.

Established in 1985, the 444-bed Subang Jaya Medical Centre is part of Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH) group of hospitals, a joint venture between Ramsay Health Care, Australia and Sime Darby, Malaysia.
