MR DIY ushered in Year of the Tiger with contribution of care packages to more than 400 residents from 15 care homes nationwide.
The residents, who included underprivileged children, the physically challenged and the elderly,.received care packages containing everyday essentials and household items.
In addition, each home also received household appliances like rice cookers and electric kettles, as well as personal hygiene items such as face masks and hand sanitizers.
“We hope that this contribution helped make the festivities more memorable for some of our less fortunate members of the public. Thank you to the fifteen homes for supporting our team in this endeavour. We wish all Malaysians a prosperous, safe, and a very happy Year of the Water Tiger,” MR D.I.Y. Group marketing head Alex Goh said.
Employees of MR DIY also brought extra festive cheer to 14 children from Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Angels, Kuala Lumpur with a day full of activities such as games, tree-planting, mural painting, Chinese New Year decoration and festive celebrations.
The employees also cleaned and painted the home while giving it an extensive makeover in time for the Chinese New Year.
