TIME dotCom Bhd will progressively roll out a new fibre network service in Klang Valley, serving office towers, high rise buildings, condominiums and commercial buildings, said Chief Executive Officer Afzal Abdul Rahim.
He said the company was looking at rolling out its services to Bangsar, Damansara, Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya.
“We will roll out progressively. We will go where there is demand for our service,” Afzal told reporters after the launch of the fibre network service in Golden Triangle and Mont Kiara here today.
As the only 100 per cent fibre service provider, TIME would be able to bring true fibre optic benefits such as speed, reliability and consistency.
He said homes and businesses would be able to experience speeds of up to 50 megabits per second while addressing the bandwidth needs of large enterprises with speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second as well.
Afzal said these levels of Internet speeds were unheard of and have never been available in the market before.
“Businesses are now positioned to take advantage of new bandwidth-intensive applications, pushing efficiency and productivity,” he said, adding that consumers who have been deprived of this for many years can finally experience true digital lifestyle of multiple connected devices for the first time.
Packages for consumers start from RM99 while businesses can enjoy the service from RM148.
Only TIME subscribers have the flexibility of boosting their speeds up to 50 megabits per second as and when required.
TIME also unveiled its new corporate identity, which promises to push the limits in product and service levels in the telecommunications industry.
Afzal said the new TIME brand adopted a new image, which represented the company’s new promise of challenging the norms and setting new standards, delivering high-performance connectivity via its resilient network, prompt delivery and customer service.
