Tenants in a rented house found the semi-nude body of an Indonesian woman with a knife on her chest at Kampung Baru Kundang, Rawang near here today.
Gombak police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah said a couple who were also renting a room in the same house, found the body at about 2pm while checking out a foul smell that emanated from the room next door.
“The woman, identified as Riris Jessyca, 27, was believed to have died a few days ago. When found, the woman was semi-nude and a knife perched on her chest,” he told Bernama when contacted here today.
He said police have not ruled out murder as the victim’s Indonesian husband, a construction worker, known as Budi, was involved in an argument last Friday.
Abdul Rahim said according to the couple who were renting the house, the husband had ordered them to go out of the house when he was quarrelling with the victim.
He added that police were looking for the husband to facilitate investigations.
