STYLO International officially recently opened STYLO Academy with the introduction one of the world’s prominent personality-development and finishing school curriculum, John Robert Powers.

The STYLO Academy which was launched in March this year by Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agung Tuanku Nur Zahirah, will bring to Malaysian soil a world-renowned personality-development programme which has been credited with helping to enhance the image and personalities of some of the most iconic personalities in the world. Witnessing the launch event was H.E. Paul W. Jones, Ambassador of the United States to Malaysia.

John Robert Powers was a struggling Hollywood actor when he set up the first-ever modelling school in New York City in 1923. The ‘Powers Walk’ soon came to define what was classified as modern-day modelling. Not long after that, Powers introduced a new product which incorporated all the important components of a typical Swiss finishing-school curriculum and the much-needed personality-development programme which included his own personal acting experiences; he called this programme ‘LIFE’. ‘LIFE’ education took America by storm and post-World War 2 saw John Robert Powers become a household name. Hollywood paid tribute to one of their own by creating a movie based on his life; which was aptly titled after him.
