Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has told the people of Negeri Sembilan to remain calm when they see the movement of military trucks and vehicles carrying rescue teams during the weekend.

“This is the first time that the state government is embarking on the exercise to prepare for the flood involving the military, Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Department, Social Welfare Department and various other organisations as it does not want the problems that occurred in the state during the major flood especially in Gemas, two years ago to recur,” he told reporters after the State Exco meeting today.

The exercise, however did not involve all districts in the state except for Seremban, Gemas, Kuala Pilah and Jempol, he said.

He advised members of the public to move to a safer place as soon as they received instruction from the authorities.
