RM 28,000 up for grab in the Shah Alam photography contest

The initiative aims to provide space and opportunity to showcase their photography talents and as well as to inculcate their love for the city.

Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has put up RM 28,000 prize money for photographers in its latest edition of the Shah Alam photography contest.

The competition started on March 15, 2022, and will end on September 15, 2022.

The MBSA Corporate Communication Department chief Shahrin Ahmad said the initiative aims to provide space and opportunity to showcase their photography talents and as well as to inculcate their love for the city.

“The participants can snap photos around exciting places such as tourist spots, buildings, monuments, lakes, parks or landscapes,” added Shahrin.

The competition is divided into 4 categories, buildings and landmarks, nature, lifestyle and nightscapes.

Each category’s first-place winner will walk away with RM3,000, RM 2,000 for the second-place winner and RM 1,000 for the third-place winner. 5 consolation prize winners will walk away with RM200 each. They will also receive a participation certificate.

The applocation for can be downloaded from www.mbsa.gov.my or walk in to collect in person at Tingkat G, Bahagian Korporat dan Perhubungan Awam, Wisma MBSA Seksyen 14 Shah Alam.
