Here’s good news for those who take the pleasure of managing a group on WhatsApp.

This feature allows users to create several individual groups and bring them together under a single community. Each WhatsApp Community hosts multiple group chats around a topic.

Admins can create and manage Communities by either forming new groups or linking pre-existing ones. They will also be able to unlink groups, remove individuals from a Community, and delete inappropriate messages if needed.

Admins can send Community-wide messages to limit unnecessary distractions: these can be sent to up to “several thousand” users.

You might have multiple groups for your office. After this update, you can bring all these groups under one main group.

WhatsApp has doubled the group limit from 256 people to 512 people. So, now you can talk to more people in group chat.

The application has also increased the group voice call from 8 to 32 people. However, the number of participants in the video call remains the same.

Another good news is that WhatsApp is also testing increasing the file size limit to 2GB. Sharing larger video clips and other large media file types would be possible after this update. The user would securely transfer the files via WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption.

React with emojis

WhatsApp is currently rolling out an emoji reaction feature that allows users to react to chat messages using Emojis.

Currently, the Emoji reactions are limited to just six emojis. Among the newly added emojis are thumbs up, red heart, face with tears of joy, hushed face, crying face, and folded hands. WhatsApp says they are adding more emoji reactions over time.

Apart from all the updates mentioned above, the engineers in WhatsApp are working hard to improve the user experience. One thing is for sure. We will not be putting our phones down soon.
