In a move to educate the Orang Asli on dental and health care, Mercy Malaysia and Pharmaniaga Berhad have embarked on a two-year programme, beginning next month.
Mercy’s general manager of communication and fund raising Juanita Johari said the project would be held at Pos Kemar in Temenggor, Perak which had a population of 3,500.
The project was aimed at complementing the services provided by the health ministry and the Orang Asli Affairs Department, in providing health care to the community, she told reporters here today.
Earlier, Juanita received a RM70,000 cheque from Pharmaniaga Berhad corporate communications general manager Zuhri Iskandar Kamarzaman for the project.
