An estimated 10,000 jobs will be on offer from 112 companies at the My Career Fair 2010 (MYCF’10) co-organised by the Labour Department, Human Resources Ministry and My Events Sdn Bhd over three days from Friday at the Tun Razak Hall of the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here.
MyEvents Sdn Bhd Director K.V. Anand Vadivelu said today MYCF’10, carrying the theme “Maximising Opportunities”, was expected to attract about 80,000 visitors and jobseekers.
“This year, every participating company is going to offer a minimum of 15 jobs, and I would say easily about 200 to 300 jobseekers will be offered jobs on that particular day if the employers find them suitable for the jobs.
“After that, within three months’ time until February next year, I’m confident a minimum of 3,000 jobseekers will be offered jobs,” he said at the press conference to announce the event, here.
Vadivelu said the fair would offer a variety of jobs in the fields of IT, banking, welding, interior design and telecommunications in companies like Digi, CIMB, Pharmaniaga, RapidKL and Honda.
“Students, unemployed graduates and working professionals are encouraged to attend and learn how to continually enhance their skills and knowledge through professional training sessions,” he said.
Jobseekers are advised to come early with resume in hand and a copy in pen drive and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews with prospective employers.
