Nestle kicks off recycling programme in Klang

Nestle Malaysia kicked off the Door-to-Door Collection and Recycling Programme in Bandar Klang, Selangor.

The recycling programme commenced in collaboration with Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK), marking Nestle’s first phase in Klang.

The programme covers 12,143 households across Bandar Bukit Tinggi 1, Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2, Bandar Botanic, Ambang Botanic 1 and Ambang Botanic 2.

Nestle Malaysia’s voluntary Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) initiatives now reach 85,000 households in the Klang Valley.

Apart from Klang, the programme includes Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and the Greater Kuala Lumpur area.

Since its inception in 2020. the programme collected over 2,500 tonnes of recyclable materials.

Nestle Malaysia targets to reach 100,000 households by the end of 2022.
